Terms of Use

1. What this service is

GridCalcs provides free, browser-based engineering calculators for electrical and solar design. Results are engineering estimates intended for preliminary design, option comparison and education.

2. No professional reliance

Nothing on this site constitutes engineering advice, a professional opinion, or a code-compliance determination. Calculators do not check current-carrying capacity, short-circuit withstand, protective coordination, earthing, grid-code compliance, or any other requirement of the wiring codes, product standards or interconnection rules in force where you are. Any design you build, purchase or sign off remains your responsibility and that of your licensed engineer.

3. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. Models have stated limits; results outside those limits, or inputs outside reasonable ranges, may be silently wrong.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GridCalcs and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the site, including but not limited to equipment damage, energy shortfalls, construction rework, contract disputes or lost profit, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the calculators freely, including for commercial preliminary design. Automated scraping or republishing of the site's content without permission is not permitted; linking to the tools is encouraged.

6. Changes

Models, defaults and availability may change at any time as the tools improve. These terms may be updated likewise; continued use constitutes acceptance.
